    Weatherby MK V Stock

    Does anyone know what this orange colored layer is on the inside of the stock? This model is about 20 years old. Im thinking its some kind of protective coat? Really odd that you can still see it when the gun is put together. TIA

      I have no idea why it's there or what it is, but a little rattle can paint should cover it.

              My guess is bedding compound as well.
              I would leave it as is.
