In 1969 (when I was just a pup - ok, a young teen pup learning how to ride) our family had four Bultacos, a Hodaka and a Suzuki. There were two Lobitos, one Sherpa T and one Metralla. Later, I would ride a thinly-disguised Yamaha 360 2-stroke to high school on knobbies with the plate from the Metralla on it and a dummy headlight. I did not ride that particular bike after dark... Those were the days! BRRRRRRRrrrrrrrrrp!

You're correct Chris, Matador. Back in my Disdrict 37 days, I raced a 250 Suzuki or a 250 Husky. That is one sport/hobby I truly miss!

My friend had a 250 Husky. I had to lay it down in the dirt once, Didn't hurt the bike but my left arm was raw hamburger....good thing I had a helmet on. 16 year old know-it-all kid.

I received that pic from a fellow shooting associate, and discovered that I had the issue recently, amidst a huge pile of various firearms publications I’ve been giving away.
I like motorcycles, and own three recent dual-sport Honda’s, which have been flawless. Hope to be riding with my kids again, soon as the last new body part is installed, and the doc says I can try it. After 35+ years of riding horses in various pursuits (mainly hobby, but some cow punching as well), I now favor the wheeled type, although I plan to always have at least a few wherever my squaw and I end up living, as I enjoy the peaceful presence that I’ve always felt. Some cows and steers as well.

I feel safer knowing Split has been protecting the Mohave since 1969.

Still have 2 street bikes. Raced motocross with the Oldtimers M/C 'til about 45 yrs old (Honda CR-250). Love the desert. Youngest son is a Hilltopper and still competes in Vet category.

HW, those bikes do not need to be "mucked" and do not eat everyday. After a few sodas M/C's make great conversation mates ...... but are terrible at heading a steer. LOL Nice holster. Did Nichole put that new lever rifle in jail?
