    FYI: Henry recall

Henry announced that it is voluntarily recalling all H015-series Single Shot Rifles and Single Shot Shotguns manufactured prior to July 1, 2020.

Henry announced that it is voluntarily recalling all H015-series Single Shot Rifles and Single Shot Shotguns manufactured prior to July 1, 2020. Henry has recently discovered a potential safety issue wherein, under certain conditions, it is possible that some of these models may discharge without the trigger being pulled if the hammer is partially cocked

Awww great, I just drosed a Long Ranger.

It sounds like they caught it in house and there's no lawsuit yet.
It takes a lot of balls to play golf the way I do.

Mark, you're good. No flies on the L.R.
Just now bought a EMF built .45 Colt/.45acp, CCH, 4.75" barrel(I know!). Kissing cousins to the Uberti's. Built in Italy on modern tooling. "Gunfighter" series. I'll know more in a few weeks. Ought to work fine for my shooting.

Good choice Penn. That is my favorite combo. Reload both cartridges.

Tom, by the time you pick that up it should be late August, and there may be a window-O-weather with some favorable Mojave temperatures in it.

              Come on, now.

Or am I dreaming, and must wait until October. Say it isn't so!

Duece, didja see San Gabriel Canyon's afire? Might not be able to access Burro unless it's from the high desert side...

I really didn't think too much about it. I already load for .308 and I've wanted a Savage 99 in .308 ever since I was about 10. This Henry will scratch that 99 itch plus I need a long range hunting gun (more than 150 yards)...did I say "I"

This ones for my son to hunt with. His uncle and cousins are hunters and I've got him taking the Hunters Saftey course right now.

                          Guys,
We shot our regular Wednesday at Burro. Really enjoyed airing out the levers as usual.
That would be the last straw if Burro burned. Can't shoot indoor because of Covid concerns.

Burro is about the only thing left to protect up there, isn't it?

We lived in the canyon for 7 years. I used to fly fish the west fork and float tube Crystal lake. Man I miss those days. I remember breaking through 20 feet of ice around the edges of the lake so I could launch my tube.

Lots of good times up there.

                              Golf,
There is also a campground near Burro. We use Crystal Lake a s a short get away motorcycle ride. Great twisty road for riding.

My 308 lead bullets arrive this afternoon. And the neck flaring dies are scheduled for next Tuesday. We shoot lead in the military rifles , '03, '03A3, Garand, '17. I am interested in shooting it in the 308 caliber because of the Long Ranger and other great rifles in that chambering. Lotsa great choices.

Stay safe and stay cool out there today.
