h-s Precision 2000 pro series SA

    I need some help please.

I get good strikes on the primer but no boom. I tried different manufacturer rounds, and same thing. So i figured the firing pin and spring are probably worn out from god knows how many rounds.

I messaged H-S over a week ago, asking about does the rifle use the same as remington 700. No response yet, I would like to get the rifle back into action.

Does anyone know which firing pin and spring it uses? Any recommendations?

I was on the phone talking with Donnie at H-S when I read your post. He didn't know which spring they used on the 2000 so pull it out and measure it before buying one but he was sure a 24 pound 700 spring would be close.

Why do you think it's the spring?
Take the bolt out and after decocking it how far does the firing pin protrude? 0.050 or more should be plenty.
If they are reloads did you push the shoulder back to far? If you did the only thing holding the round near the boltface is the extractor.
If you are using an adjustable primer pocket uniformer how deep are the seated primers from flush?
You can use a caliper for both measurements by standing it on its end so the protruding part makes contact to measure depth.
When you dry fire the rifle does it sound loud and crisp or is it soft and mushy?

I will do some measuring later today, thanks for the info. Also, i tried factory loads as well as reloads to see if it was just reloads issues.

Check the tip of the firing pin to make sure it's okay as well. I have had them split on me like the metal had a flaw or inclusion in it.
Edit: clean out the inside of the bolt body as well. Dust over time will build up.
