Been struggling with the buckhorn sights on my 1956 Win94 for years. Was shooting a foot to the left and a foot high. Tried multiple times to fix the sights but couldn't get them to budge so just had to adjust my point of aim... Always had a second rifle to hunt with so no biggie.
This year my son is going to hunt with me so I planned to get the 94 sighted in for deer season but still couldnt get sights to move so I bought a set of Williams Sights and just planned on chaning out the back buckhorn and leaving the front sight alone. Sights came in and back sight wouldnt budge either so I went online and all the advice said the same thing, get a bigger hammer. I did and finally those old sights moved and I was able to remove both front and back and put the Williams on.
OMG those Williams sights are amazing. Went to the range this morning and had the rifle sighted in in no time and hearing my son call hit after hit on the hundred yard target with a rifle that I couldnt get on target at 25 yards in the past was awsome. Next I took it to 200 yards and it was dead on. I expected this to be a 100 yard rifle mac but these sights make 200 yards completely feasible. Not only did these sights bring my 3rd generation rifle back into the field but also killed any plans to pick up a new rifle next season. This gun just performs too well now and I love shooting it. If your thinking about new sights on any of your guns check out the Williams Sights. They flat perfom.
Oh yeah and no one worry, I put the old sights in the gun case incase I ever wanna go back to stock but to be honest, these new sights will still be on it when I give it to my son. In a decade or 2. Great sights.
