    Marlin Medium Loop Lever

Has anyone seen or tried one of these in person?
It looks better to me than the Big Loop Levers.

I wouldn't mind a little more room than the factory lever provides, but at a buck and a half, I'll probably never get one.

    Made by Ranger Point Precision.

Buy marlin 1894 medium loop lever which is black nitride. Rpp designed medium finger loop levers for marlin firearms lever-action rifles 336, 1894, 444, 1895, 450M.

Hey Bob, pictures are about all that I've seen of those medium loop. I don't see a need for then except for a gloved hand, IMO of course.

John Wayne and Chuck Conners are the only two guys I know that can rock the big loop.
It takes a lot of balls to play golf the way I do.

      That's right, golf!

RPP has had another style medium-loop lever, too. The one in Bob's post looks like a newer style for them.

Speaking of RPP, my son sent me a Father's Day gift for my Marlin 1894 .357:

I was looking at these but for .45-70, since the length of that particular howitzer round precludes any great magazine capacity, see...

But! (and don't tell my son, at least for a few more days, please), and as well-thought-out and as well-made as they are, these things are almost a gimmick. I can see a shotgun 5-rd sidesaddle, but these things here almost clutter up an otherwise svelt, light and friendly little .35 cal carbine. I will keep this as a memento of course and may even use it now and then in the future. Since it was a gift from my son, I will always keep it.

Here's the lo0p that someone makes for Marlin, and that Marlin installs at the factory for these newer 1894 CST, CSBL and SBLs...

I'm going to guess that the cartridge holder was modeled after a shotgun side saddle; might be a quick way to do something similar to the "switch to slug" drill for a different ammunition load, or a speed load.
If using it for a .45-70, switching to a solid bullet loading could be very useful for the right animal.

That's better than that big a** lever loop I've seen elsewhere. Like Mark said, works for a gloved hand. Other than that, standard lever for me.

Apples, I understand and like the gimmick/cool aspect as I have something similar but on a grander (as in ammo count) scale. My pre warning Ruger 10/22 packing a "TRI MAG" three Ruger factory mags 30 round setup with Ruger dust covers.
This being more of a field hiking rifle, the TRI MAG stays home as it is extremely rough on my shoulder.
Fun to look at but has limited applications.

                Yikes, my back!

I see what you have, there. A few years back I bought and converted some Ruger rotary guts to the Tandemkross' Double Kross... but that was before Freedom Week and five BX-25 mags.
