    Remington Trio 1956 Ad

Have magazine with ad for the third addition to set of Remingtons.

They are the pump or slide action pretty stylish looking guns.

Believe it includes the 870 shotgun.

Then a small gauge and a bigger gauge rifle.

Maybe 570 is one of them.

That trio is definitely on my kicking myself list for not picking up in the past

    list.

For home defense a slide action is about my limit.

Think Army type rifle is a little too much.

Anyhow. The third one came out in '56 to complete the trio.

Do you know how to post a photograph or scan of the magazine ad?

Yes or no. If yes, why not post a photo.

If no, then why not divulge to your fellow riflemen the name, volume and number of said periodical?

      Potato!

Magazine is Young Men Hobbies Aviation Models.

        @1956.

I will dig it out and scan the page.

        EDIT

Okay.It is February 1956 issue and it is Hobbies Aviation Careers under Young Men in title.

Think it used to be 'For the future Technicians and Engineers'. Maybe those are special issues.

Oops! Paged through it twice and don't see ad.

Could be in any of these old car magazines we have.Doesn't see very likely though.

I will keep looking in spare time.

Anyhow. That is about they came out with the trio.

Always liked the .22 version that came in a rat load rifling model and I think a 30/30 version.

          Page 15.Top half page ad.

          'New 572! Now a .22 version!'

'Joins the 670 Big Game rifle and the 870 shotgun.'

          They say better than that.

          Will scan page sometime today.

Still have our Remington bolt action .22

Used it to shoot NRA junior league in Wisconsin or Illinois.

My buddy just went over it a year or two ago.

Don't think we shot it or he did though.

It says in the ad that the trio is the 572 (pump .22), 760 (pump deer rifle), and 870 (no explanation needed).

It would of been nothing to pick these up in the 80's and probably up through

                    the 90's.

                    But nooo!

I had to just think about it every once in awhile!
