    Marlin Question 3030 336RC

Marlin 336 RC 3030 that was a hand-me-down. Has a JM stamp on it, no safety and oddly enough, no serial #. The grips are smooth too, not the checkered ones.
Has been fired maybe 3x in the last 40 years.
Curious what this would be worth.

It should be on the upper or lower tang. Can you post up a picture?
It takes a lot of balls to play golf the way I do.

So it does have a serial number?

Not having a serial number could be a deal breaker.

This one can be had for $700.00..

            For perspective, here is a new modern 336 @ Sportsman -- $480.

This would be the low end cost of 336 ownership. A premium heirloom would be on the high end.

F prefix = 1949 I believe. No clue on current value.

All thing being equal, $350 and up for starters. I've got a 30 AS that doesn't quite follow the regimen. It's checkered (pressed). The other one I had, also an AS, didn't have a full length tube and wasn't store branded, it said Marlin. PAX
