Well I got my 03AFORGERY project going. Another Calguns member had a beautiful low mileage 03A3 sporter. I ordered barrel bands, and buttplate and screws from Liberty Tree Collectors. I ordered a Redfield Junior type Mount, and rings. I am looking for a usable scope, something with a German number 4 post reticle. Maybe a vintage K6 or K10.
I need a stock and handguard, will get the stock from Stockys Stocks, there is an Italian company that makes a beautiful repop. Hand guards are readily available. I will ask AR15barrels to do a reparkerizing on the metal. It promises to be a fun project in these ****ed up times. A2

Looking good. I’ve been looking at going in the opposite direction. I have a nice example of a 1903a3, but I have always wanted a nice sporterized 03.
One day I’ll find one

Update
On fleabay I won a 1960s era Weaver 3x9x40 Rifle scope should be here Saturday. The donor rifle is coming today, but not sure if I will be able to DROS it today. I received the butt plate and screws. I ordered a beech stock from Sarco, un-stained and a hand guard unstained, from Numerich I ordered the hand guard clips. Coming together slowly. Attached are pics of the donor rifle! Excited A2

Has anyone seen a NRA Sporter Stock I have been looking for years for one to no avail. I almost had Boyd's talked into making them and supplied them with all the dimensions and even offered to make the tooling they needed.

they strung me along for a year and then said they weren't interested.

I still have yet to talk to Randy Boyd about that as I doubt he knew what his minions were doing.

I wanted the CMP to place an order for many of them which would have sold instantly, but without a reliable source it never happened.

So has anyone seen one or have a decent one to sell. I have the Barreled Action, the Barrel Band and Butt Plate. all I need is the correct stock.

This is what I'm going for but with an A3 barreled action.

Update:Started the DROS, 17 ****ing days! Not Angeles Armory’s fault morons at DOJ. ANYWAY, I received the 1960s era scope today from Fleabay. Nice steel bodied Weaver 3x9x36, it’s ok, but I have 2 Redfield Revenges with the accurange reticle. I will be probably be using one of these instead of the Weaver. Because this rifle is going to be used for shooting fun! A2
