Hey guys, it looks like it might be a week of more before we can get out. The spring is the best time to go.


PSA= I went to Phillip's this morning around 11, I've never seen it so crowded. I thought for a second they were selling TP. I needed some Kroil and they're the only place I know locally that has it in stock. I don't think he was oos on any items that I could see.

If you need any reloading supplies, it might be a good time to get em. Fricken people are crazy. 5 days in a row I had to circle the parking lot at Stater bros for a parking spot.

Hey guys, it looks like it might be a week of more before we can get out.

For me, that's only because of the rain. I wanted to get out there next Tues or Thurs but not if it's pouring.

I tried to park near my bank which is next to a supermarket; I didn't even try to enter the parking lot and instead parked across the street and walked in.

Don't these people have jobs?! Oh, wait...

Gun shop friends tell me guns are flying off the shelf (in ten days of course).

I don't know what to think of it. I need a few things so I'll try and go tonight around 11 and see if it's any better. They shut down my Granddaughters school for 3 weeks. I'm retired so she can hang out over here. I wonder about all the other people who have to find child care...They also shut down my sons school (high school) for 3 weeks.

Hey Mike, a few of us levergun guys go out to the Mojave every now and then to shoot the ****. There's more talking and laughter then there is shooting. We generally go to private land off the 395 between Adelanto and Kramer Junction.

I am currently at the beach, but heading up to my desert house mid-week. I am a principal, so it looks like I have some time off. My house is at Silver Lakes in Helendale. For me, a shooter is a shooter. We are lever enthusiasts on the center fire, manually operated forum but in truth shoot a wide variety of firearms. I actually shot more rounds of competitive pistol last year than lever.

From bolt guns too 1911s, shotguns, SA revolvers, SKS and even an AR308, but most of the guns we bring out there are lever action. There is no discrimination when it comes to firearms.

Like I mentioned, it's more BSing and admiration then shooting. Every trip someone has a new gun or breaks one out from the back of the safe.

IMO, Tom's (pennstater) Marlin 39 is my favorite. I didn't get to shoot it much but it's a sweet little 22. I think he said it was made in 59.

Normally I might say "The more, the merrier" but in light of the suggestions we're seeing regarding Coronavirus, I won't be shooting with much more than another one or two folks at a time. Almost 65! ya know.

But this ain't my thread, and by now there are perhaps ten mostly honorary members (most of whom are upstate) of the Mojave Lever Crew, a name which I think Tom first thought of and primarily in humor. We don't take ourselves too seriously.

Looks like rain is forecast for all of next week. Dunno when I can squeak out there for a day, but I'm willing.
