Masterpiece Arms 6mm Creedmore

At the range on Sunday the chap next to me was shooting a Masterpiece Arms bolt action in 6mm Creedmore. He let me take a shot from the $8,500 rifle. It was nice and the bullet went exactly where it was supposed to go, a perfect X hit at 100 yards prone. Incredible trigger pull and almost no recoil.

The owner stated that barrel life is 1,500 rounds. Given the price of the rifle, I imagine the barrel was going to be pricey also.

Made me feel pretty insignificant with the #4 7.62mm rifle I was shooting!

Anyone have a Masterpiece Arms rifle?

Not a Masterpiece Arms but I was shooting a Spartan Precision Rifle in 6mm last week and it was ringing steel at 900 meters. Scoped it cost less than the Masterpiece. It belongs to a friend not my rifle.

No reason to feel "insignificant". The other guy evidently has a lot more disposable income. He still puts his pants on one leg at a time like the rest of us and his **** stinks just like the rest of us.

Those aren't $8500 unless he had $5000 of scope on it.

The barrels for it aren't any more expensive than for any other rifle.

The scope was pretty intricate, don't know the brand or model.

You will usually find that everyone on The Internet has a gun that shoots in the zeroes with factory ammo.

Problem is every time you ask them to a match so they can show off these skills they never show up or something goes wrong and the gun quits shooting that well.

i just noticed this and this is funny as hell and so true...i bet ive called out 20 ppl on their 1 hole guns...out of the ppl that showed up(less than half)2 guys backed up the talk.

the others were "not doing their part" which i kinda get because im not a super shooter myself but when you say your gun will do blah blah blah "ALL DAY LONG" and your gun wont hold better than 3/4"-1"...its more than a bad day.

Shooting 6 Creedmore at a target 100m away seems silly to me, was his .338 lapua in the shop that day?
