Elk Hunter
Myself I would talk with your doctor and let him/her know your concern. I wouldn't want to feel worried while shooting that something bad is happening.
I had a cage a plate and 4 screws put in my neck and the first trip to the range I was more concerned with something coming loose than my shooting.

I'm amusing that info is first hand? I don't know as yet but I think my main concern is not the bruising unless there is something else connected with it I should be worried about. My concern is for dislodging the STENT under recoil of a rifle. At any rate thanks.Leave a comment:

I realize that discussing this with my Cardiac provider is a part of this but my mistake in this question here in CG was in the hopes that people that had gotten the procedure done could sound off and tell me how it work out for them. Just because they are Doctors doesn't mean they are always right. Thank you for your reply.Leave a comment:

Until the doc stints or stents all my fingers together you can catch me at the Range.Leave a comment:

Unless you’re hiking to your range with a heavy gun, ammo and bag, why not? It’s the physical exertion that makes a difference. Just don’t expect to hike 10 miles carrying an animal on your back.
You may get more bruises from the buttstock if you’re shooting a powerful round, if you are taking aspirin and whatever second antiplatelet agent.
