It's been a long dry spell for us long-range shooters to get out and shoot our guns due to fires and property closures.
Last month things where looking good up until it snowed making it too hard for most to get to the firing line without raising there blood pressure.
This months match is scheduled for the 3rd Sunday and if it doesn't rain or snow us out the match is a go.
These are very informal matches so don't let the distance intimidate you as even I can do it even if I am rarely successful at it.
The match is held above UpperlLake California and we start just after sunrise so we can take advantage of the calm conditions in the morning. This sometimes means we sit around waiting on the fog to clear and the temperature this time of the year is generally very cool in the mornings so dress in layers.
There are no fees and no pit duties you just show up sign the waiver and shoot when the line is hot.
It's a solid half hour each direction for food and drinks so an ice chest is recommended.
