Pictures are kind of dark for me...

I assume you reload but curious, is there "match" ammo for the grendel. Have a friend considering one and he doesn't reload yet.

Neat little rifle. But theres no way you are anywhere close to 6.4lbs.

Did you start with the barreled action from brownells?

I, too, suspect it's heavier than you think

Still, I've always been tempted by the Grendel and still lust after one.

Pretty rifle, I was thinking about getting a Boyd's for my 6.5x55.

Curious why you feel that way.

Also kinda curious why the OP would build one in a bolt rifle.

Isn't the single attribute of the Grendel over other 6.5 calibers that it will fit in an AR?

Sweet looking rig, the only note, the rings' location a little weird for me.
I'd move them a little bit back, especially the rear one. It is in the way of the loading port. There is enough room to do so and keep the same eye relief.
                But it is me.

                  Pics

Grendel accuracy pic! 1st group on the left 5 shot, adjusted .25 moa right. Then the second 5 shot group. Very happy! Will not feed 110gr Lehigh Defense, the gun only likes polymer tip Bullets. Will be using 120gr TTSX, it will shoot the 123gr match BTHP, and the 123gr SST. I think the hollow tip on the Lehigh is too open, and flat, it just bangs into the feed ramp. Anyway enjoy! A2

What's not to love about a small, lightweight carbine perfect for deer?

Yes, the Grendel works quite well in the AR platform.

You can also fit it in a micro bolt action that normally would only be useful in something akin to .223 and useful for only hunting varmints.

I agree. The scope appears to need to be moved rearward on the rail. Once you move the scope, shoulder the rifle (bench rest preferred) and then check the eye relief. You may need to loosen the rings to adjust the scope position.

Be sure to retorque to spec.

Nice looking rifle. I am a fan of wood stocks.
