Muzzle Brake for 6.5 - Patriot Valley Arms Jet Blast?

I'm looking for a muzzle brake for my Tikka T3x CTR in 6.5 Creedmoor. I know that whatever I get will be a compromise of various desirable features, including:
    - Compact size (under 2.5").
    - Self-timing (can be easily put on & taken off by user - no crush washer or shims).
    - Effective at reducing recoil.
    - Lowest possible extra noise and concussion for shooter & others.
    - Light weight.
    - Reasonable cost.

I'm looking seriously at the Patriot Valley Arms (PVA) Jet Blast brakes. They claim to have very good recoil reduction, while minimizing the extra noise and concussion directed back toward the shooter due to a "patent-pending" new port design. They are also self-timing (easy on and off) and relatively compact. I know that the most effective muzzle brakes tend to be the most noisy - I'm looking for a good balance.

PVA also offers this break in an "ultralight" version made of an "ultra-high-strength" aluminum alloy. It weight only 1.37 oz (about 2 oz. less than the steel version), while offering the same performance. I've read concerns about aluminum brakes wearing out quickly and/or coming loose because of differences in expansion rates between aluminum and steel. PVA says that their ultralight brake have been tested to last about twice as long as the barrel on a .300 Mag. There is one very positive review of this brake (1,000+ rounds with no issues), but not much more I can find about this brake.

One reason I think the light version might be a good choice for me is that I'll probably remove the muzzle brake if I hunt with this rifle. I'm guessing that replacing a lighter brake with a steel thread protector is less likely to change the point of impact significantly compared with removing a heavier brake. But that's just a guess.

Anyone tried the Jet Blast brakes? Thoughts about the ultralight version? Other brakes I should consider?

    Thanks

I have the PVA mad scientist. I prefer the Insite Arms Heathen.

I'm running a PVA Jet Blast on one of my rifle. Self Timing it was a learning curve for me. PVA also has a video on how to install it.

Recoil reduction works great, however i can only compare it with the A419 as that's as far as my experience. Feels the same as my Area 419 Hellfire. The JetBlast is smaller than the HellFire.

Behind the rifle feels fine...i dunno about folks next to me LoL. Some are fine with it some dont like it...especially the fella 2 rows down from me, he was reloading at the bench.

The Jet Blast is growing on me and i bought a few more. Area 419 is nice too, but its heavier so that may turn you off. Its also self timing.

Both JB and HF are chevron style ports.

I have no exp with the aluminum version

I use the lil bastard on my tikka,

        check it out:

Our muzzle brakes are an industry leader!  Our Gen 2 is a two-piece design that allows the shooter to quickly install or remove their muzzle brake for whatever reason.  Say goodbye to crush washers, peel washers, or the need for a professional installation. Your hands and a crescent wrench are all that is needed.  We o

I put the Hellfire on my Tikka. Great at recoil reduction, but blasts the living bejeebus out of the shooters to your side. I put the the Heathen on my next rifle and it has less side blast and less recoil reduction as a result.

I don't think you can escape physics on this one. The most effective brakes are going to be the most obnoxious.

Someone could probably design a big ugly shield that goes around the brake that prevents side blast. In Free America we call it a silencer.
