So, gonna take another shot at getting my 94 apart. Do any of y'all have a line on a new carrier spring for it? I'm watching fleabay right now, but a direct source for parts would be nice.

Clean it, function test it, and if it works, leave it be. It depends on how it was cared for and how many rounds. My son has a 1951 in .32 Special that belonged to my father. It was never broken down for cleaning in the decades he owned it, just bore brush and patches with #9, then a little oil in the action. I completely broke it down for cleaning and inspection about five years ago. Insides were like new.sigpic

There are a lot of old 94s running all their original parts. The parts don't wear out because they're old, they wear out due to cycling. Most of the old 94s haven't shot as much as they've been carried.Frank

Cool, looks like you found it.
I have some videos somewhere I downloaded a while back. Gunsmith tutorials. I have one where the gunsmith shows how to make your own springs. Was going to try to dig it up and share in case you could not find what you were looking for.Last edited by CaliforniaCowboy; 10-27-2019, 6:55 PM.https://thedeplorablepatriot.com/
