    Seeking feedback on Foundations Stocks

I recently read an article about Foundation Stocks (for bolt action rifle) on the precision rifle blog, which seems to have some interesting and informative articles about long range shooting. On one article I read about a (new to me) company called Foundation Stocks. You can access it here:
Rifle chassis and stocks continue to advance at a rapid pace, as creative entrepreneurs bring new products to market and every company is in an arms race to release new features that allow us to get more steady from barricades or other improvised shooting positions. Stocks and chassis have become serious tools in the hands ...

In the article they mentioned that these stocks are very well made, can take a lot and are made out of micarta (which apparently is quite durable). Has anyone out there had any experience with them? I find that I like the ones with a dark distressed look; at least they look very nice to me. Hoping to learn from someone out there about these rifle stocks. ALso, hoping to learn any pros or cons about them. Thanks.

They are imo the best traditional stock made today. They are all made to order customizable, and are Rock solid. They also don't need to be bedded.

I attended a prs match as an RO and the Foundation stocks were my favorite as far as looks. I didn't get behind a rifle that day but I would go with a Foundation stock were I to build a custom rifle.

Thanks for the input; these rifle stocks really look amazing and very interesting. I would think that micarta would be very durable, too.

It is not that they are durable or shoot better than another stock like a properly set up Manors or McMillian.

Other than the distinctive wood look, it is that the material is very, very heavy, creating a 5LBS+ stock on the Exodus for positional guys.

Key design features (outside the marketing hype) for the positional people is the 13" LOP* (without the spacer), vertical grip close to the trigger. The 2" flat forearm and Anschutz Rail finish it off.

            * because we like to be a square as possible and most are using a Game Changer or similar bag, with the support hand forward on top of the rings, the LOP needs to be shorter than most people realize.

Found an interesting article about the Foundation Stocks. It is by Accurate Shooter; I have found them to be quite insightful and a good source for news about many things related to long-distance shooting. Here's the link: http://bulletin.accurateshooter.com/...ndation-stock/
