Remington 700

I always wanted a SS barrel bolt action . Years back , I had chance to put scope and zero the rifle for brother on his Remy 700 SPS tactical 223 and I really liked it . Even tho it was factory , rifle felt really solid .

since I already load for semi 308 , I'm thinking about 308 as well . I just want it for target practice . I might even put a chassis down the road .

I just wanted to know if this rifle is good for the price point or if I should look for other ss rifle for same price range .

The 5r rifles are well known to be above remingtons qc "problems". Mine in 6.5 is lights out. You can usually find them around 8-900 online.

Great choice for a factory target rifle! I have one in .223, replaced the trigger with a Jewel and it will easily shoot half MOA with my handloads.
You may be able to save $100 or so by shopping around.

Although not stainless. This is a better value for the money.

After few reading here , found out if I go with Remy , I'm golden if I were to customize down the road . Which is always plus .

On sale at Turner's ? Tempting .. but it'll prolly next year grab item . Just doing some homework for now
