Mossberg Scout Rifle

Are these Scout rifles available in California in .223?

Anyone have experience using them?

Don't know about .223, but I question why any manufacturer would offer a "Scout" in that chambering......other than trying to jump on a concept wagon.
As far as their entry into that foray, the examples I examined and shot seemed to be decent.

.223 because of ammo availability. It's still capable of killing medium game in a survival/shtf situation.

I don't think Mossberg's "scout rifle" comes in .223. It only shows .308 on the website. The "patrol" version come's in .223. Pretty much the same rifle without the longer rail.

To answer the availability question, they should be. No restriction's on bolt rifle's other than mag capacity, but if you've got them use em.
