So I broke down and bought a Patriot Valley Arm prefit barrel for the Tikka T3.
My 300 win mag tube is quiet used up. After breaking loose the factoring barrel and hand fitting the new barrel I am surprised how tight the threads fit. Very precise, not much wobble and smooth.
Compared to the money I've dumped into a Rem 700, the threads to the barrel were never as tight. Just giving a "thumbs up" for the quality machining that TIKKA/SAKO does.
