If the barrrelled action has a problem outside of the stock, you might not have enough overtravel in the trigger to keep the cocking piece from dragging after release.
If adjusting o overtravel has no effect, the sear relief may be too tall for the cocking piece.
Any chance the stock is an ADL setup and the triggerguard screw is lifting the bolt in the receiver?
If it’s only occurring in the stock, look for a bolt handle dragging in the stock to be keeping the bolt from fully closing and the cocking piece dragging on the bolt body.
