    Burro Canyon Lever Shoot #4

Wednesday 9 am at Burro Canyon. We will be shooting a family heirloom Winchester 71 (that survived a fire) and the new Uberti 71. The other lever is my Marlin 94C . Plus a red dotted 9mm Ruger PCC.

Burro Canyon #3, two weeks ago, included a M1 Garand and lots of 12 ga. Winchester Model 12 shotgun clay shooting using test, low recoil loads of E3 powder and 7/8 oz #8 shot. Still a work in progress after the barrel shortening for Wild Bunch action.

    Lever lovers -- y'all come.

Duece, I just saw this, so, a day late and a dollar short. How'd the shoot go?
You still go to one of the private ranges? Anyway, one of these days, we'll hook up. Keep at it Duece.

      BCSC

      Penn,
Described by one word. HOT. We went early and had a shaded, private range. Still got hot and buggy quick.

But... I just love to shoot and there is a perverse satisfaction in shooting OK in a bad shooting environment.

Do they let you setup an eazyup on the private ranges?

Somebody please explain why they call them E-Z UP's....

the canopy setup are nearly mandatory for the private range bays.

most have zero shade, and in this weather you need some relief from the sun.

and they are called E-Z up's cause that is the biggest brand that sells the canopies

Sorry I missed this, and now I'm back at work full time. I will have the odd week off over the next few months, so another mid-week shoot is doable depending on when it falls.

My .357, .41 and .44 Mag levers need some exercise.

                      LOL!!! I hear y'all.

My first time setting up an EZ-Up was pure comedy, well, for the people watching me at least.

It was back in '02 and I was setting up a display at a customers grand opening for the company I worked for. My boss said set up was easy, that's why they call them ez-ups. "It'll be noooo problem" he said. That was my first clue that he was a sadist.

Once you've done it a couple hundred times, like I have now, it's pretty easy.
