Well, I just grabbed a 527 Varmint in .17 Hornet,because it sounded fun (yes, I know .223 is cheaper). It looks like there might be some optics issues because I don't usually dedicate a scope to one gun and the rail adapters look a tad high on the internet. We'll see though. Anyone with any inside knowledge past what's readily apparent in the forums?
