Bergara B14 BMP - Mounting / Scope Recommendations

    I'm getting a Bergara B14 BMP chambered in 6.5 Creed (B14S452) soon.

There are a lot to the scope options...

Wondering if anyone has a current scope setup (RAIL/Scope Rings, Etc) they can share along with how it's performing?

My price range for scope would be $500-$1200 Range.

Most likely looking at FFP, but open to other options.

You'll have better luck in the Optics section or the Manually Operated Centerfirr section (this is Semi-auto section). And you'll want to provide more information if you want useful help.
You want to buy the best scope you can afford. Do you want Milrad or MOA? Capped turrets or target turrets? What kind of reticle? Illumination? What ranges do you intend to shoot? Is this for hunting?
If you're not sure, I'd head over to OpticsTalk forums and just start browsing. Your rifle is based on the Remington 700 action, so there's A TON of options available.
You might want to look into scopes by SWFA, Vortex Razor, Vortex Viper Gen2, Leupold Mark 4, Steiner, Nikon Black Series... To name just a few.

Thanks, I didn't realize there was a section dedicated to Optics - Still interested in any experience folks may have in general with the B14 BMP, though.

What are you going to do with the gun?

Range gun - most likely 100y, 200y ranges due to the proximity of the ranges around me within 100-150 miles only having those ranges available.

Glass quality will not be as important to you then, compared to if you were shooting 1000 yards. You might be surprised at how good an image you get with a relatively cheap scope.

Yeah, I just don't want to have to change anything to shoot at 1000 yards essentially if given the opportunity/range capacity to do so.

Don't spend a bundle on a good rifle and then turn around and pump the hound on a scope. I know not every one see's the need to spend big on glass. More than likely you will spend your budget and not be happy with the purchase down the road. Then you will lay out more money to get you in the zone of what you need. Buy once cry once. Cheap is expensive and expensive is cheap

Agree. I'm not looking to cheap out on the scope/rings/rail, etc.

I was hoping to find some people here that have a B14 BMP (or B14 anything really.. since it seems to be the same action) setup to compare and get an idea of what people are using with what results.

This is what I was thinking :

                  - Vortex Optics Viper PST Gen II Rifle Scope 30mm Tube 5-25x 50mm
                  - Vortex Optics Precision Matched Picatinny-Style Rings Matte (30mm, 1.26" Height) -- Not sure if height is right but I did see someone using this height with this scope on Reddit somewhere.
                  - The Vortex objective/eyepiece cover pieces
                  - The vortex Lo Pro bubble level addon

Check out https://cameralandny.com call Doug and he will point you in the right direction. He's one the go to guys on snipers hide for purchasing optics. Jason over @ https://www.eurooptic.com is a great guy too.

Right now CameraLand has Steiner P4Xi's for $799. If I was looking for $1000+/- scope, thats where I'd look. Plenty of stellar reviews and great glass for the $$.
I have one of the older Steiner M series 3-12s and its an outstanding scope.

Athlon has also been getting lots of great reviews.

SWFA SS's are great scopes for the $$$. I've used and recommended the SWFA to many people for years and we've all been very happy.

For rings check Aadmount and or Seekins. I've ran both with great results.

I have the B14 Ridge and put a Nikon Black on it and am very happy with the setup. I mounted the Nikon on a nightforce 20 MOA rail with Seekins low rings and it's very solid. Not much clearance over the varmint profile barrel but just enough

I got the 4-16x model and have shot out to 1000 yards with it, I had a very clear sight picture at 16x. I will probably swap the 20 MOA rail out for a flat one as the scope has enough clicks to get out to 1000 without the extra 20 MOA, and the downside of the 20 MOA rial is that it forces me to use a thicker cheek pad to get my face up off the comb. The BMP has as different stock so it probably wouldn't be as much of an issue for you.

Bushnell DMRII would be a good choice as well. I was really happy with mine.

Thanks All - I bought what I had outlined above (Vortex scope, etc) and will report back on how that specific package of parts works/looks with B14 BMP.
