    My preference of the above:
Blackened Stainless matte finish, green laminate stock, forward rail for Scout-like optic, proper tritium ghost-ring sights, small forward rail for light, barrel band front sling stud, butt trap in stock, bayo lug for M9.
    Shortest barrel practical.

They will eventually be on sale at Turners. I can tell my wife I didn't just buy it 'cause I wanted it ... I got a deal! I'm good at finding deals.

I never would have guessed there was a .327 lever gun. It just seemed interesting to me. Time to take a peek at there website. Thanks.

Got to the Henry site for Big Boy (H006), click on "Disaassembly," then scroll to 5 minutes, and you can see the full brass receiver dissassembly.

Go to the Golden Boy (.22) video, click on "Dissassembly," then scroll to almost 4 minutes and you'll see the bright work cover removal.

Correct on the Big Boy's. Hardened brass receivers. Didn't know about the rimfires.

Marlin used to make a .32 H&R but they've been discontinued and go for a steep price used.

There are also smiths who ream them .32 Federal, again a bit spendy. I guess you could DIY but I don't know what the tool would cost.

I believe Henry currently makes their .32 Fed with the large loop, though, which doesn't much interest me.

If you look on GB you will find the brass 20" BB in .327 for $700.00, that's $80.00 less than the same gun in .357
My guess why Henry came out with two out of three new calibers with the side loading gate is so it won't affect sales of their other guns too much. I'm also guessing that when they do come out with the side loader in other popular calibers we will see the original top loading Henry's drop in price....

My partner and I went to the local shooting range/gun club to watch a PCC competition a few weeks ago. One of the guys offered to let us try out his 1892 clone in 357. After we both shot it, she looks at me and says "We're getting one of these right?" She owns nearly as many firearms as I do and actually introduced her late father to the sport. Needless to say, I have an 1892 clone in jail. (: And I did get a deal.

Been wanting one of these for a LONG time.

I love the 92, it's the lever gun you see on all the westerns. What's the maker of the clone that you have in jail? They're all good. I have 2x Rossi's in 357 and a Winchester in 45 colt.

I love it too, but they're wayyyyy too short for me. Wish they were long enough lop for a giant!

Rossi (: I couldn't get an octagonal barrel, but it was less than 500 out the door "used" but with oil from the factory in it still.

Henrys are heavy. The Win 92 (Rossi for instance) are very light. That's what the vast majority of 1930's to 1950's movie/tv cowboy stars used, the '92. Rossi is back rolling them out, and they are relatively cheap.

For Henry: their round barrel guns weigh about a pound less than the octagon.

Yeah. That's the only thing that bums me out about these new Henry side/tube loaders. They weigh 7.5 pounds versus 5.0 pounds for a Rossi.
