Do you (or did you) operate, bro?

From the makers of Top Shot comes... Top Sniper.

    Now casting: https://www.guns.com/news/2019/04/08...ew-sniper-show

(Posted here because I figured a few here are qualified, and many more that think so )

    ...That Operate Operationally...

Instead of using "rifle" or "carbine" or "pistol", they use "platform".

Top Shot became more than boring after an episode or 2. Top Sniper sounds the same but with longer guns.

True wealth is time. Time to enjoy life.

Life's journey is not to arrive safely in a well preserved body, but rather to slide in sideways, totally worn out, shouting "holy schit...what a ride"!!

IMO... most likely they'll pic one good shooter, the rest will be, accentric, little crazy or some attitude to make for human drama/entertainment
All of them do something better than the 30-06, but none of them do everything as well.

I became less impressed as Top Shot went on too. But the show started getting stupid because many of the challenges they were cooking up were so unrealistic. Then I started seeing some of the contestants in other settings, and they were really top shelf shooters. I mean, JJ Racaza? Holy crap.

Check out Dustin Ellermann's youtube (season 3 winner) channel. That guy is just deadly with anything that shoots.

I would like to see the Top sniper series though, to see who made it onto the show and what the challenges are. Like I wouldn't be surprised if a civilian shooter could outshoot the military guys because they probably spend more time actually shooting. They wouldn't be as tough, but they might do better in the challenges.

It may surprise you, but field craft is what sets them apart, not their shooting.

                ^This.

Shooting is the easy part. Stalking to your FFP undetected and building a hide is what sets real snipers apart from someone who's just a designated marksman with a scoped rifle.

Field craft doesn't translate to a tv game show, which is basically what this is. Even Combat Missions, the best show of the genre by far, still rewarded the best time. They may surprise the hell out of me, but I doubt it since it's the same producers as Top Shot. More than likely there won't be any field craft to speak of on the show.

First I've heard that one. On the contrary, guys in SOF think he's a joke. Funny you mentioned James Yeager because Tony Cowden recently called out both him and Chris Costa as goofball instructors that put out bad information.
