Has anyone had a case head separation in their 357 mag lever-gun?
Do you really have to only use once fires or new brass for max loads?
What happens with 38 brass in these rifles?

Any information would be greatly appreciated,

Yes, I used to with hot .357 loads in a Rossi with a very generous chamber and brass loaded multiple times. The brass would separate above the web of the base. A real pain to get the remaining case 'sleeve' out of the chamber. When I started having it occur several times I checked the cases prior to reloading and found some with thinning occurring inside the case.

I talked to Jeff at Henry Arms Mon and mentioned my concern. He said that as long as the case is in spec, I am good to go. He did say henry does not advocate handload use for company liability reasons. But, he understands that some shooters handload for the Henry rifles. Nothing wrong with my rifle, as I had expected. I'll load some of those Federal cases and see if they stay the same or grow. Some testing to follow.
