Carbonsix Barrels

Hi, I was looking to re-barrel my Tikka. I cam across a company called Carbonsix. Looks like they have reasonable pricing and they can install the barrel as well. Anyone have any experience with them?

I don't have any experience with them, but I would avoid buying a pre-fit barrel because pre-fit barrels still need final machining to headspace correctly.
It's better to have the barrel fit your specific action than a general "spec" that they work to on pre-fit barrels.
Pre-fit barrels have to be made loose enough to screw into every action.
Accuracy is better when the barrel is threaded to best fit your specific action.

I have done lots of proof carbon wrapped barrel installations.
I can't imagine that a different brand would be any different from my perspective.
It looks like Carbonsix will make you a barrel blank with a 1.15" breech diameter which is what you will need for that Tikka action.
Go ahead and get your blank and make an appointment to come to my shop and the barrel will be on the action in a few hours.

The carbon fiber barrels seem best on a hunting rifle. Super lightweight.
