Seems like a good value at $2725, there's 2000-2100 in just the chassis and Stiller action. Strange that it says AW mag compatible. I thought you had to have a 3 lug bolt for that.

2 lug bolts will feed from an AW mag just fine.
The 700 reciever design uses the bolt nose to push the cartridge out of the magazine.
It does not matter if there are 2 or 3 lugs behind the bolt nose.
What makes a reciever either compatible or NOT compatible with AW mags is the clearance cut in the bottom of the reciever.
AW mags require a wider cut for the magazine to slide up into the receiver than AICS mags or a BDL fixed mag setup.
Almost any 700 pattern reciever can be cut for AW mags.
When you order a custom made reciever, you specify if you want it cut for AW mags or not.
The AW cut in a 700 format receiver is NOT compatible with BDL bottom metal nor any other fixed magazine bottom metal as it removes the feed lips from the action that the cartridges would normally stop against when a fixed magazine is placed under the receiver.Last edited by ar15barrels; 01-12-2019, 10:07 PM.Randall Rausch
