That's the triangle barreled rifle, right? I would rather buy an ADL and upgrade the stock as funds became available.

    My thoughts...

    Either way good luck.

No personal experience. I know somebody that has one and has not had any issue with it.

I have one, I bought it off a fellow CGer, it was bone stock when I got it, the adjustable trigger screw but my finger under recoil, I swapped it out for a Timney 510, while I was at it I installed a drop box mag kit and have multiple 5 and 10 round mags, now it’s a shooter, I have a 6.5-20 VX3i on it for range work, it’s a fun gun, heavy barrel contour cut to a triangular end and with a built in brake.
So other than the original trigger screw biting me the gun has performed flawlessly, I only paid $600 for it so I feel I did ok ymmv

          What do y’all think?
They work fine as a hunting rifle.
Not so good as a target rifle.

Ive had a couple of those barrels. Couldnt get them to shoot well. For the same price or less you can get a new heavy barrel sps. Or for a little more you can snag a nice 5R out of the for sale section.

I know 3 people who had them. Two would not shoot no matter what they did to them. One shot pretty well and last I heard he still has it but does not use it much. The other 2 were sold for a loss.

You can still build a 700 and keep your Savage for hunting duty
