    Buckhorn Sight Picture

For those of you that keep your lever guns stock -- and like the challenge of using buckhorn sights -- this image really helped me get on target.

Anyway, thought I'd share. Hope it helps you too.

Thought I'd share this as well...

My recently acquired Beretta Renegade in 357. Got it out to the range this morning. What a shooter! The factory slicked action is amazing.

Peeps sights are a great option, too. Next time you hit the range, give your buckhorn sights another try, see if you can get then to group.

Peeps work well, Lyman and others have made tang and receiver mount sights for lever guns, since the early lever rifles...

I think they're made by Uberti....I could be wrong
It takes a lot of balls to play golf the way I do.

The Renegade is a Winchester 1873 made by Uberti for Beretta. It's an Elizabeth "Pocahontas" Warren thing.

LMAO! Ok, Uberti makes it. That's fine. "Pocahontas" made, now, that's a FAKE.
Regardless, that is a nice lever gun you have there. E.W., phtt!

Buckhorn sights work just fine for me on my lever guns.

Those are sort of semi buckhorn. Buckhorn sight curve around and almost touch at the top and were made to help make you be more accurate when using Kentucky elevation.

Thanks for the clarification. Yes, I'm referring to semi-buckhorn sights.

lol, yesterday I picked up a Taylor's and Company Smoke Wagon DE. It has the patent dates from 1871/72 stamped on it. Its a copy of a Colt 1873, made by Uberti, imported and upgraded by Taylor's and Company.

Its first Uberti and won't be my last. They make one hec of a gun.

                              Great looking rifle! Enjoy.

"Smoke Wagon" is a great name for a pistol.
