OK, to me that's not a lot less, it's slightly less. I'd not be shocked to see the RPR in that zone eventually. To me a lot less would be well under $1000, which I doubt is gonna happen any time soon.

Yes 338 Lapua for 2000 yards and it does pretty well at that distance.
The 300 win mag also does pretty well if you reload for it.

I wonder how the new 300 PRC and 6.5 PRC are going to impact the .300 WinMag and 6.5 Creedmoor. A shakeout is on the horizon.
