    Marlin 1895 SBL first shots...

Man, I love this rifle. I picked up my SBL today. Tore it down and gave it a good cleaning. I stalled some goodies with the reassembly. WWG Happy Trigger, aluminum follower, Bear Proof ejector. Ranger Point lightweight loading gate and a lever wrap.

The trigger brake is much nicer than the crappy factory set up. Light and crisp sans creep. Loading is super easy over the factory deal too. Overall great upgrade products for this weapon.

I only put a box of Leverevolution 325 grainers through it. This is a recoil junkies dream, lol. Good accuracy at the range I was testing. So far only close range but I'm impressed.

The action is smooth on this one right out of the box. I couldn't be happier with the purchase.

Overall, I like the list of things you've done to your rifle! Glad to hear you're happy with it.

I'd like to see you use some 500-gr bullet loads, since you like recoil...

I like some recoil not punishment. The 500 grain sounds a bit much. I picked up 500 300gr projectiles for loading some trapdoor pressure plinkers.

I love it. No restriction on reloading yet. 8lbs of H4198, 500 Xtreme bullets plated be.458's, 500 Hornady bonded .458 slugs 400 Starline brass and 4k CCI #200's to the door with no more than a signature. Well, there's always next year for them to fix this "loophole" AKA freedom, lol.

Congrats to OP. And yes, the BFR would be a nice pairing. Just because.

I'm all set on the 45-70 sidearm, lol. I don't even comprehend that.
