Area 419 Hellfire. It's self timing so no need for crush washer. There are other self timing brakes out there too.

Here's another great option made by a local rifle builder in CA.

            It’s down to this

Or the 419 hellfire. Not sure just yet. I kinda prefer the last ok of the Heathen. Has anyone here shot the Heathen?

Your basic Surefire Procomp 7.62 5/8-24 is a good option.

Also looking at the little bastard.

I will look at the Surefire too. My question is the muzzle brake less effective if it’s not for the specified diameter such as a 7.62 on a 6.5?

I'm not a fan of the self-timing brakes.
I have not had a single one that ran really true to the threads and bore after it was installed.
I have measured the concentricity of almost every brake that I have installed while the barrel is still setup for the threading and timing.
The absolute straightest muzzle brakes I have seen are Surefire.

About 1-3% less effective. Exit bore diameter matters much less than you'd expect.
This post summarizes the results for the recoil tests ran on 20+ muzzle brakes using 6mm and 6.5mm test rifles. To see the full line-up of muzzle brakes tested, check out this post. The recoil data was collected using high-speed, high-resolution force sensors. +1 APA LB. I had it on my RPR 6.5 and it worked great.

How do you like your bergara? I love mine. I put a Burris XTR II 5X25 scope with a 20 moa base.
