Nice article on them. It felt pretty good to me, but I'm more a fan of the European style trigger, which you really can't get in the aftermarket.
Over the next few posts, I’ll share the top precision rifle products that caught my attention at SHOT Show 2018. It’s impossible to see everything at the show, but these are the items I noticed that I thought my readers might like to know about. The biggest standout product for me for SHOT Show 2018 ... -

If you read that article most of the Top Competitors are running 8-14 ounce triggers. I have been advocating lightweight triggers for years here only to hear 2-3 pounds is what you need.
Once you shoot quality gear it's very hard to revert back to the stuff your grandpa shot on his 270.
My favorite parts of the article were "Square Ranges" and that sand only blows into PRS rifles and not into hunting or the dreaded Benchrest Rifles. Obviously he has never shot at Sahauro.
And that folks is why most people change the trigger on there 700. Not because it's a bad trigger but because you can improve the guns performance.
It's hard to hold your point of aim when your trigger feels like your removing lug nuts on a diesel truck.

Any time you can switch to a lighter trigger it helps keep the gun on target. You are no longer pulling the gun off your point of aim trying to get a heavy trigger to break and the Top Dogs are all running lightweight triggers according to the author of that story. I don't have a Trigger Tech Diamond but in general terms any trigger lighter than a factory trigger is an improvement.Last edited by LynnJr; 07-19-2018, 5:59 AM.Lynn Dragoman, Jr.

I have a Timney in my .308 and just ordered a TT Primary for my new build. Like Lynn said any trigger that offers lighter weight is a huge benefit over factory. I don't imagen I'll find the TT any better than a Timney as far as use.Comment

Ironically I think I read something that one of the top finishers in KOTM used a 3 pound trigger.SigStroker

Weight is paramount in the using of a heavy trigger.
In the KOTM matches I wouldn't think any of the top dogs used a three pound trigger unless they didn't have any other choice.
On the weight if your gun weighs 40 pounds like a huge swath of the KOTM group it is harder to disrupt it in the setup than it would be if the gun weighed 6 pounds.
The only downside I see with the super light triggers is if your wearing the clumsy type of loose fitting gloves. You don't want pushing your finger into the triggerguard setting off the gun.
I hunt with a 1.5 ounce Bix&Andy trigger without any safety. I don't chamber a round while I am hunting until I know I will take the shot.Lynn Dragoman, Jr.

Longrange1 hit the nail on the head. You can't explain a great trigger on a forum but once you use one you have a hard time going back.Last edited by LynnJr; 11-17-2018, 9:54 AM.Lynn Dragoman, Jr.

I'm in the process of moving my rifles from the timney 510 to the trigger tech pro curved diamond. I feel the curve helps me center my finger on the same spot every time. I've put about 350 rounds on the standard TT trigger and about 1500 on the flat special, all are excellent, but the adjustment and feel of the diamond is worth the extra to me.
I can't stand Jewels for some reason - never liked them. Have not tried a the Huber or Bixn Andy.
I wonder if that 3 pound trigger in Ko2M was a 2 stage.Comment

i dont like jewels either... i shot timney for several years then shot my buddies bix n andy and went home that night and ordered one...i do not like curved shoe triggers for the same reason that calshipbuilder likes them...a flat shoe is more repeatable and my hand is more comfortable...the curved shoe feels like im trying to hold my hand/finger up to get in the right spot in the shoe.Comment

I don't think so, it was a TT. I sort of figured that he used a 3 lb trigger because these guys are shooting such big boomers, they want to make darn sure it doesn't go off until they're good and ready.I'm in the process of moving my rifles from the timney 510 to the trigger tech pro curved diamond. Earlier this week I traveled to watch the King of 2 Miles rifle competition (Ko2M) at the NRA Whittington Center in Raton, New Mexico. It’s one of the few matches where great shooters from across the country gather to push the limits of what is possible with small arms as they engage targets out to ...Comment

I think the only place for the BnA is bulletcentral.com
I run the 2 stage and like it so much I have no interest in the trigger tech especially now they released the flat shoe
