Looking for Youth Single Shot Combo

I'm looking for a youth single shot combo for my son. The shotgun barrel needs to be 20 ga. The rifle is a bit more flexible. .308 would be ideal (I can load for that). .243 would be my next choice. .223, 44 mag or 22 lr would also work. If anybody has one for sale, I'm interested in buying. Looks like Rossi & NEF aren't making these much anymore.

Please message me with what you have & a price. Would have to be able to ship if outside the central valley (Modesto to Bakersfield, I can drive. Foothills or coastal mountains maybe).

Look no further than a T/C Encore.

I too would consider the Encore, lots of options for down the road.

TC isn't what I would call an entry level gun for a kid. Nice. Very nice. But too nice for kids. I'm looking for the old H&R or Rossi type guns. Get 'em started with something light & compact but since they're likely to outgrow it in 5 years, not spend too much on it either.

Actually T/C is a great entry level gun and very safe as well. Not only that but it will always hold a value. IMO.
I realize it may be out of the price point you want to spend but used ones can be had a bit cheaper.

I'm actually picking up a Savage 42 from 2A Zone. They make a "youth" model that's even smaller, but since it's a takedown gun to start, it's pretty small and thin to begin with.

Since you mentioned a 20 ga, I know Chiappa makes the Double Badger in 20ga/22LR and is budget friendly. Not sure of the quality as I don't have experience with it. I was more interested in the takedown capability during my O/U research.
