Way to vague. Any other info you can provide? Gun Broker is a good place to get a idea.

      $500-$3000+

      New or used?

      Blued or Stainless?

NIB or your Grandpa's truck gun?

Standard model or some Unicorn they only made 500 of?

If you are referring to an 1894:
Pre safety or with a cross bolt safety?
        Gold or blued trigger?
I'm sure there are more variants as others will post.
How about a double JM barrel stamp-twice the price?

OP prefers a pre safety model-don't know about the .44mag but I think you're estimated price is fairly close, perhaps a little low on the .357mag even if it has seen a lot of duty (cowboy shooting events) and provided you can find one however I occasionally see a later model .357mag JM with the crossbolt going for the same price. Yes, there are aftermarket kits available to dub in a saddle ring in lieu of the crossbolt safety but who are you fooling?
Three+ years ago I ought my 1894 pre safety carbine .357mag made in 1981 with the gold trigger absolutely NIB on http://gunbroker.com and though I paid dearly for it back then, wouldn't sell it for twice what I paid-sweetest rifle in the safe.

Paid $950 (made in 1996, JM stamped, with crossbolt safety) about a tear ago. That included shipping and insurance.

Wow, nickel plate, that is NICE! You certainly got a damn good one before they turned. I'd keep that one too.
