Oh Jeez. There was a whole long thread on this product in the Auto forum (for some reason) not very long ago. It's so easily 'defeated' by just holding that lever in---and then you have a semi-auto.

I like the idea of the auto-extract, manual re-load rifle, but this thing doesn't look like it'll stand the test of law. In Britain they have a similar overall way of doing this, but it involves a modification to the lower receiver.

Tracking Point makes a similar device call the BSD.

It has an internal disconnect such that if you hold it down it does not cycle. You must release the bolt catch device and then push it again to run the bolt forward.

I have it on my AR Pistol.

Oh yeah, that was me! I will be making a video that explains why I went with the Lantac side charging upper instead of something like the Bear Creek Arsenal upper for 6.5 Grendel, but the gas port is blocked with a very inexpensive block that has no holes whatsoever.

Does the Lantac straight pull BCG require a special upper?

It needs to be in a side charging upper also like the one from Bear Creek Arsenal, but otherwise it does not need the side charging upper from LANTAC.
