Read the original 69 p1 has a plastic trigger guard that is weak and mags, especially the 10 round plastic mags are weak and costly. Otherwise, they are cool and I would like to find a NIB 69 p1 in od green.
The only thing that is worse than an idiot, is someone who argues with one.

I have a PIIK, Mags are at least $70 to $100+, and not heavy duty. Stock is also not meant for heavy duty. McMillian makes a stock but very expensive. Otherwise they are very accurate. 1/2 to3/4 moa easy when I had a 4.5-14x scope on mine.

The rifles are very robust. The trigger guard is plastic, but I've never seen one which has broken. Remember you are dealing with 1970's and 80's tech.

Here are the "codes" used to date the rifles.

Mine is January of 1987 "ETY"

            Nothing but quality.

Do not fear the enemy, for your enemy can only take your life. It is far better that you fear the media, for they will steal your Honour
