    Bergara HMR muzzle brake?

I recently bought a Bergara B-14 HMR in 308. I am curious as to what muzzle brake to run. Thanks in advance!

Surefire is the one I had put on my Bergara B-14 HMR

I have the Area 419 Hellfire muzzle brake on my HMR 6.5CM. What I like about it is that you can self-time it and the ease of installation/removal. The side blast though is loud.

I have Area 419's Sidewinder on a .300wm and I can tell you, it feels like shooting a .223; less snappy and more of a light push.

I bet their brake on a .308 will get rid of all felt recoil.

Take a look at the Precision Armament M11 Severe Duty. The M11 came in 4th in the second article.

              I'm sure people have.

Let's back track though; is this a bench gun? Hunting rifle?

              What's your budget?

Look at the measurements closely. You might find a really good fit.

Been gone too long. It's been 15 to 20 years since i had to shelf my guns. Those early years sucked.

Have you tried it without a brake? Maybe you won't find it necessary.

                        Ross Schuler brake

Had it timed by Randall. Just send the guy your specs and a few days later it's at your door. Best brake for the price.

Just an update. Decided to put the Area 419 Sidewinder on my HMR. The recoil from the 308 round isn't to bad but it would knock my gun off target if I wanted to take a follow up shot. The Sidewinder made this rifle shoot like a 17 HMR. No joke! The brake works awesome. And there is no muzzle blast back to the shooter. Can't go wrong with this self timing brake. Thanks again

Good. I was shooting cheap 145 grain Bear steel case ammo and was averaging 3/4 MOA in 3 shot groups at 100 yards. The best group was just about half MOA with all shots touching. Next range outing I have various match grade ammo to try out. So far the rifle is looking very promising
