All angle eject 94's are made from 4144 steel. They were, and will hot blue with conventional methods. It is very unlikely that your receiver was blued over nickel.Ive searched google for hours on this but came up short... so i buffed out the bluing on my winchester model 94ae and i was wondering what the finish is under the blue?
