    Kimber 84M .308

How many of you have guns you haven't shot yet? lol For one... last year I won a Kimber 84M Classic Select Grade in .308 at the Friends of the NRA Dinner at the Reagan library. I'm just now looking into buying accessories. The first thing I noticed about the gun was how light it was. It has the French Walnut stock so I'm not sure what more to do other than a strap and a scope and maybe a nice travel case.

I've not yet shot at the rifle range at Oaktree. How far out can you shoot there? Plan b would be to try A Place to Shoot out near Castaic. Vacation time coming in a few weeks and I promised myself I would go shoot the new guns.

Yes, they are beautiful. I have a Kimber Longmaster in .22-250 that I won at an FNRA dinner a few years back. I had some problems with it, and it still has a very oversize chamber that Kimber won't address. Don't be discouraged if it doesn't shoot well right away. Mine required about a hundred rounds to settle down and, due to the oversized chamber, neck sizing brass to avoid case head separation. Now that I have rounds through it and addressed the chamber issue, it shoots every well - about 1/2 MOA. A couple friends have the 84M in .308 and love them.

Have you actually sent them the rifle or are you just talking to them?
Ruger did this with me until I sent them the gun. I got a brand new one two weeks later along with a hat, beanie, stickers, shirt, koozie.
Had the same experience with Leupold and a spotting scope.

You should sell it, how much you want?

Oak tree is only 100 yards, Piru is closer and has a gong at 1000 but many more out to 600.

If you find yourself in a fair fight, you're doing it all wrong.

No, I just talked to them and gave them the measurements of the fired cases. I didn't want to go through the hassle and expense of sending them the rifle only to have them just send it back, and maybe pay for return shipping to boot.
