    My Personal Best

Sorry, I gotta brag about this one!

    5 shots @ 100 yards. Factory 6.5 Creedmoor, Hornady 140gr ELD-M: 0.12 MOA.

I don't really shoot for groups unless I'm zeroing the scope or breaking in a barrel. Most of my shooting is done at distance. Barrel has about 1500 rounds through it. I clean when groups start to open up. Typically every 300 rounds or so. These were the only 5 rounds I put through the gun on this day. So the group includes the cold-bore shot. I was breaking in another rifle at the time that was shooting horribly. I thought it might be the ammo, so I picked up this one and put 5 rounds down range. Nope... not the ammo.

Nice rifle. Awesome group especially with factory ammos.

I don't think I could do better with hand loads to be honest

It's a nice group but it doesn't quite look like .12 MOA. A .12 MOA group at 100 yards would look like a slightly enlarged single bullet hole. It's entirely possible that hoadloads could improve that group, as would watching the wind flags. Also a single 5 shoot group is a good indicator of some performance potential but it would take more shots or more groups to accurately quantify your results. Still good shooting though.

You're absolutely correct. The group measures 0.3905" edge to edge on the long side. Subtract the bullet diameter and it's 0.1265" center-to-center. So yup, not "quite" 0.1200". But whatever, I'm still happy! This rifle is certainly capable. Me on the other hand? Well I do my best. Like I said, I don't typically shoot for groups. This is a long-range tactical rifle. As long as I can hit my target during a match, that's all that matters.

I can do the same thing to that size target

...with one 12 gauge slug at 10 ft.

                        That's a mighty fine group.

                          Actually, if you want to get super technical, 1 MOA isn't 1". It's 1.047". So a 0.1265" group really = 0.1208 MOA
