Anyone Use Fort Scott Munitions 338 Ammo?

Fort Scott Munitions® is a U.S. manufacturer of accurate, lead-free, handgun and rifle ammunition designed to Tumble Upon Impact®. We produce a full line of match-grade, premium ammunition designed and engineered to exceed expectations with proven, repeatable results.

I see the BC listed as extremely high for a 338 or for a 50 BMG for that matter.

    Lynn:

    I would believe better than a .359 G7, never a 1.359 G1 for a 250 gr .338. For comparison, the Warner Tool's 256 gr has a .894 G1 and a .450 G7.

Here is what the boattail looks like on the bullet in question sent to me from a fellow CalGunner.

Those bullets are also slightly less than 1/2 the price of Warner - https://fortscottmunitions.com/colle...nt=33118060742

That noted, the Warners definitely appear more pointy (thus, presumably, the Warners should have a higher BC).

Tested them last Saturday before the URSA match

            2050 yards
G1 BC came out to .675. A little bit off the 1.35 stated

            250 gr at 3201 FPS ES10
            They flew consistent
            Felt like a 22lr

Talked to Phillip the sales manager at Fort Scott at his request after I requested my $ back.

He said they have done lots of testing to come up with the 1.35 G1.
They are revising the BC to around .875 after lots of feedback from people.
I told him that I was giving my feedback and he refused to accept it.

After a round and round conversation with him talking in political circles it was obvious to him my rifle did not like his bullets.

I shot multiple rounds with velocity recorded on my LabRadar at 2050yards with grouping close to 1 MOA.

Just thought with a known and recorded muzzle velocity and a correct BC number you could dial in the correct elevation for a shot. Guess I need a new rifle as mine must somehow be broken.

That rifle went 7 for 7 at 2054 yards so I don't think there is a rifle problem.
The problem with the lathe turned solids has been around for years and years now. The people making them don't know ballistics and think they can pick a number out of a hat and that makes it real.
The Warner bullet is 0.894 and they list there's at 1.394 and haven't got a clue how big that difference actually is.
Very few 50 BMG bullets are that good.

Not sure what Warners were originally stated, but they are pretty close now.
