Good rifles, at least my 7X57 Super Grade is. Light, accurate, dependable and pleasing to the eye I always like the feel of wood and steel in my hands.

If you like a Win Model 70 you will be happy with it.
A 30cal will reach out and touch them. A 50cal will kick their butt.

Winchesters are great, but if you look close the supergrades are quite heavy for a given caliber. The wood is very nice. I am partial to the Alaskan model, but it is heavy, after adding a scope.

Check out the featherweight or featherweigjt compact model 70 if you will be hunting on foot, or the Kimber Adirondack of you want a super light controlled feed rifle (around 5 pounds). You can always buy a factory upgraded wood stock for tye winchesters.
