TC compass/ Need help on which caliber to get

I saw the gun is 200 with the 75 dollar rebate ,but I'm new to this and I'm not really sure what caliber to get. It guess would be a range gun and I don't really hunt. If I did it's cool to have a gun around that can get the job done. Please help!!!

    308 or 30-06, if recoil sensitive get a 243.

223 or 308 because of cheap ammo for plinking. I would get the 223 1st if they offer it because of less recoil so you would enjoy shooting it longer each time you go.
You can always get something larger than 223(or243) if you want to hunt. The 308 is excellent for that especially since we will be forced into non-lead ammo by 2019.
A 30cal will reach out and touch them. A 50cal will kick their butt.

Since you are new, and it sounds like you will be buying your ammunition, I'd definitely recommend .308 or .223. There's going to be no mail order purchases of ammo with the ammo permits coming. I'd stick to what's commonly used. If you don't hunt, then you want target shooting ammunition, which will be most common in .308.

They're not liberals, they're leftists. Please don't use the former for the latter. Liberals are Locke, Jefferson, Burke, Hayek. Leftists are progressives, Prussian state-socialists, fascists. Liberals stand against the state and unequivocally support liberty. Leftists support state tyranny.

It's a perfect opportunity to get one of each calibers you always wanted to try out.

Since you are probably going to be spending most or all of your time at the range, you will probably want to make accuracy your highest priority, and terminal ballistics your lowest priority.

Since you are probably going to be spending most or all of your time at the range, a lower recoiling round should be more attractive than a higher recoiling round.

Look carefully at the maximum distances you will likely be shooting. I do almost all of my shooting from 100 to 300 yards. (Longer ranges require a lot more driving, and I hate to drive, so I am mostly capped at 300 yards!) This should be an enormous consideration when you are choosing a caliber!

With those criteria in mind, you are probably best served with a .223. Great accuracy, fun and comfortable to shoot, excellent performance out to 500-600 yards, ammo is cheaper and easier to find than most other rounds.

If you wanted to be able to hunt most North American game, or shoot longer distances, they chamber those rifles in 6.5 Creedmoor as well. Ammo will be more expensive for the 6.5 Creedmoor, and you probably won't want to shoot it all day to keep the throat erosion down, but if you just have to go bigger that would probably be the next best choice.

Remember, the overwhelming majority of anti-gun thinkers are not stupid enough to be "afraid of guns." They are afraid of stupid/immature/crazy psycho people with guns.

At that prices get both 223 and 308.
Make sure the 223 is 1/9, 1/8 twist not 1/12 as I’ve seen some tc rifles
All of them do something better than the 30-06, but none of them do everything as well.
