Whose got one? What type of ammo doesn't it like best. Furthest range the rifle is comfy with it. Main usage?

I have 308 Remington SPS. One 308 is enough for me. I have a CZ 7.62 bolt gun. I think its time for a .223 bolt gun.

moa accuracy with cheap PMC 55 FMJ. guy I know a guy who has one and shoots bug holes. .2" or something like that with hand loads.
mine has 1:10 twist, new ones have 1:8...I think. Much better for heavy pills.
I have 3-9 scope with CDS dial. I saw a monarch 5, 3-15 with dials for mid $300 on Nachezss. Thats the route I'd go.

I also have a cz in x39 and its a shooter on the cheap.

I sold my Howa .270. Sweet rifle, but didn't use it much. Looking back. I should have kept it. I also sold my Browning BAR 3006. Though, after a I buy a 223, i might invest in another Browning BAR, this time in 308.

So many guns.. so little money and time.

I have one Tikka in .223 and another in .243. Neither one will chamber ammunition made with once-fired cartridges from Aguila and PPU. If you hand load, full-length size all used cases.

I use my .223 primarily for sage rats and other, similar sized varmints. Fiocchi ammo with VMAX bullets works well, as does PMC ammunition, but most of my shooting is with hand loads. I get good enough groups (1 to 1-1/4" at 100 yards) groups with hand loads and could probably do better if I shot better or invested more time and effort trying out other powders.

The newer X models have some improvements over mine, like a bigger ejection port and better recoil pads but I'm very happy with both of my Tikkas and would not trade them.

Own older 595 Master Sporters. Love the Tikka's. The new version of the master shorter is great. Furthest shot has been approximately 550 on prairie dogs and tall bipods. Use to shoot winchester white box 40 grain round. Now shoot 55 grain hornady V max. Great round over 27 grains of H335. Would love to find a master shorter in 308.

Hi, Jack! I've got a Tikka in .260 Rem. I just loaded a box of Lapua brass for the sixth time. It's been neck sized only through all those firings, with no shoulder bump. That brass still chambers very smoothly.

Might be an issue with the brass, rather than with the guns.

Shot a newer T3X compact a few weeks ago. Liked the larger port, and they did something to make the synthetic stock quieter. The earlier made stocks felt and sounded cheap / hollow. Nice rifle for the money imho.

I have a older Tikka T3 Light in .223 that is my main coyote rifle.

Using 50gr Vmax's over a full case of TAC, I am seeing 3450 fps. Accuracy is VERY good. Sub MOA out to 500 yards.

With the 1:8 twist I have a good load using 75gr Amax and RL-15 that shoots sub MOA at 600 yards and I can hit 12x24" Steel at 1000 yards with.

Note that I have swapped out the factory "bottom metal" so I can use AICS magazines which allow me to load the 75gr Amax's longer for greater case capacity.

I have owned few Tikka's and have used the Tikka action for custom builds. They all have shot great.

The .223 is a good round for range use and smaller game hunting.

Here is my .223 T3 and a coyote I shot at 276 yards last week up in Idaho.

I'm guessing in my case the brass was not sized before being used in manufactured ammunition, but I really do not know. I also bought a few hundred once-fired Remington .243 cases from a reputable outfit that supposedly sized them and had the same problem.

No matter. I have enough brass in each of the three centerfire calibers I shoot to last me for the rest of my life. Actually my problem isn't having enough cases - it's having enough varmints to shoot at.
