Left Handed 308?

Any suggestions on a left handed 308 hunting rifle with a wood stock. No limit on budget.

I only found the TC Dimension, Savage, and Ruger in 308 and they do not come with wooden stock.

Wood stocks are rare and expensive on todays guns. You'll probably have to go to the used market. Check GunBroker. Look for something from the 60s the wood will be much better than the 2x4 looking stuff they use today.

I bought a sako left hand large action hunting rifle for $1200. Made in 1980 Un fired and a work of art. Older sako rifles are made exceptionally well, probably better than anything made today. Bolt is super slick and fully adjustable trigger is superb. Weatherbys are amazing rifles too but hard to find in lefty. If you want a nice hunting rifle stick with those 2 brands. I looked at a tikka but can't get over the cheap plastic stock. Yes it's functional but life is too short to hunt with an ugly rifle. You can find both on gun broker or rifle specific forums.

This^^^^^^^^^^^^^. I have the Tikka Stainless T-3 L/H in .270 Win. The hunter is the same rifle in a wooden stock.

So, what is the "bad things" you've heard? If you don't want to buy a Beretta imported product, then don't. If I wanted a wooden stock L/H bolt gun , I would buy a Tikka T3x Hunter.

I own the L/H Tikka T3 stainless synthetic. It's one of my favorite rifles. I own 3 other L/H bolt guns which are all Remington 700's. The Tikka is the lightest and is a pleasure to carry while hunting.

Beretta owns sako but the rifles are still built in Finland by sako. Still exceptional quality. However I prefer older rifles so recommended older sako in left if you find one. Check with sako collectors and forums. Should be able to find one for around $1000. Just say no to Remington.

The other forums are tagged with bad experience when sourcing parts from Beretta for their imported brands. I don't want to be stuck with a unusable firearm because a company that imports can't help when I need it.

I only mention Beretta cs because maybe the current owners on calguns have better experience and would debunk those forum threads on their cs.

Of you course you could use a Rugger #1

I have heard of Lefty Shooters using Win 88's or Savage 99's but anything goes wrong. Stuff is flying out into you. For a rigjt hand shooter it would be going away.
