Yes, the 10 round is what it came with. The stock is great, I believe houge. It is a short action or "Mini action" as Howa calls it so it is a very short stroke.
only issue would be finding more mags, the 7.62x39 is same as the 6.5 grendel so you are sharing purchases with those guys too. lol

The Mossberg in 223 is also beautiful and they make a flex version that takes a standard stock or an AR based pistol grip and adjustable stock, takes standard AR mags, wonderful Bolt to add along with your AR on trips.

30-06 can be had from 50 cents a round on up.

Reloading is cheaper in the long run and you can tailor a round to your individual rifle

            Your question isn't very specific

Punching what? holes in paper, and animal (what kind) or a person or zombie?

Since we don't know its a hard question to answer

Also at what distance and thru what kind of rifle (tactical, target, hunting)

Need a little more to go off but with and initial expenditure of money (3 to 5 hundred) you can get into reloading and ending up saving money in the long run.

50-54 caliber round lead balls for a non inline Muzzle loader. Cheapest ammo anywhere. Makes big holes.

The average price for a 223 that I've been paying is $0.37 per round while the 308s run for nearly $1. What caliber do you suggest?
I've been getting some factory .223 for .24+ lately and .308 for .55 and up... even Federal Gold Medal Match for $15.99 shipped (.80). Not horrible. 5.56 is typically M193 cans like CBC or PMP, American Eagle, Norma Tac 55 grain.

Running out of chances to use online coupon codes and giftcards though. Stock up during the July 4th specials. Might be one of the last.

                Yeah, reloading components.

Great choice! Better (hunting) ballistics than a 223 and cheaper and more readily available ammo than a 308

I need to get a chamber insert for my old Spanish Mauser to shoot 7.62x39... but there's always the Romanian SKS.

                      12 gauge slugs?

I can't think of anything that has a punch and is cheap.

Yep. Even Sierra MatchKing can be had for .75/rd, and that's good ammo. Cheapo ammo can be readily found online for .45-.50/rd, which isn't that much more than 5.56.

That said, .30-06 is my choice for a medium-power bolt rifle cartridge. .300 Win Mag is awesome too.
Settle down, folks. The new "ghost gun" regulations probably don't do what you think they do.

Seems like there are more AR options in 10mm auto, but I didn't search very long.

Not going to find much that's less expensive than 308 for full power. Get better at shopping!

This little guy is on my very short list, and the bore is .311 so cheap blasting ammo should be great.
