    Savage Arms Customer Service?

Have any fellow Calgunners had any experience with Savage support? I opened up a case with them 10 days ago in regards to headspace issues with my Savage 10 in .308. The only updates to the case are my pleas for assistance.

As you can guess I am not real happy about this and am wondering what other's experiences have been like.

At this point, I think I am going to make an appointment with Randall and have him deal with it.

At this point, I am sure that you do not have to ask for my honest opinion on Savage Arms.........

I have a case opened up with support, but have not received a response. It has been about 10 days. How do I send it in?

        Call them
I have called them twice. Needed a couple of screws for one rifle and I lost the tool for the accutrigger. Called on Monday .parts delivered on friday
Been gone too long. It's been 15 to 20 years since i had to shelf my guns. Those early years sucked.

I'm not a huge Savage fan but I ordered up a bunch of parts from them and they shipped them out in less than a week at 1/3 the price of Brownells.

It is hard for me to make that call during their business hours. So, I opened a ticket on their site. You would think they would respond.

As an old school business I think you need to find time to call (if at all possible). I've never been disappointed when calling, always when emailing.

They don't respond worth a damn to e-mails.

Call them, as others have mentioned. Good folks once you get them on the line.

I opened case on January 5th, claiming that new magazine which came with my 10BA Stealth only can be loaded to 8 rounds and fit inside magwell. No respond for 7 days, I repeated email on 12th, today I received email that my case was resolved and it is probably faulty magazine. They sent me new today with return label for original. If I call, I will probably get the same result within 2 days, but I am not in harry, magazine still works with 8 rounds, also I bought AI original magazine. This timing works good to me. But if I need something urgent-I will melt wires on their phones.

Calling them is best. I had the ejector die on one of mine and i called them and they mailed the parts right out.

I never call firearms and optics companies. I always phone and write down the name of the person I spoke with.

I had a good experience. My son's model 42 stopped working, action sort of jammed up. They repaired it and sent it back. Well it happened again on the first range trip. I sent it back and Savage sent a brand new rifle right to my door.

Going through their online system sucks. Apparently only one person monitors that system and when she's on vacation or out sick, there's no response. I had a barrel issue with my Stealth BA and I contacted them the 2nd week of November. I finally got my rifle back a week and a half ago. Granted, we had two major holidays in between, but it took them over 2 weeks to respond to my initial request. I've called in the past about a missing accutrigger tool and that was resolved quickly, but if you're trying to send your rifle in for service, calling them may be the quickest way to get the process started.
